Who's Who In Music Today?

Here at Studio Confession Ent. we like to give you the real information. Let's face it . It's easy to be fooled when there are so many tools being used to fool you. I know from my experiences , both past and present, that to perform live or to perform anything you have to have the talent and a professional skill level . If you sing or play an instrument you are on the right track because that gives you the power of invention. Invention is the same as being new. If something is new people are more likely to buy it. No amount of promotion or TV time can buy a person's talent. I also know that all of the greats that I revere in any way are a part of this " school of live performing " . IT IS ABSOLUTELY KEY TO MUSIC BEING NEW AND HELPFUL TO EVERY MUSICIAN COMPOSING IT,PERFORMING IT AND CULTIVATING IT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

Below you will find a list of artist that I call my " Who's Who List" . This list outlines my opinion of artists both present and past that defined the history of music today. Why should you care what I think? I come highly recommended and I'm very serious about my music . If your favorite name lip syncs or samples he or she is , in my opinion, not of musical heritage. They are classified by me as spin offs . Spin offs don't exist without the public showing love/ approval for the original song. I weigh and conclude without bias. Last, this list is not designed to separate me from the music industry or vice versa. I want nothing more than to share my music and point of view with the world to help bring some much needed light to what may be ailing the scene so please note that over 20 years of experience has gone into the thought of each name placed on this list. Business is to do. Anything else is imitation, diluted ego or jealousy in real time. I'll make the hip hop/ producer list soon. So let's get it poppin'. Please fill free to comment. Til my next blog. Peace.

While some of the artists that Madame X listed were already on your list there are alot of people that she listed as musicians that are not.
Snoop Dogg TI Black Sheep? Kerri Chandler? Fantasia can't even read if you can't read then how can you create music?????She doesn't she sings music provided which makes her a singer. Those are not musicians.
I don't know I guess my idea of a musician is someone who creates music.

Hello Annonymous,
From MadameX,

Didn't you know that you can create music with your voice??!!??!! Didn't you know that your voice becomes an instrment??!!?? Have you not heard of Miriam Makeba??? I could describe a musician in many ways but to simplify it for you, I would define a musicain as an individual who masters the art of the music by which they are creating and that they create it with integrity so that it becomes meaningful to the listener. This could be a singer or an individual who plays an instrument. A musician is a person who can be creative, ingenious, inspiring and moves your SOUL. This is how I define a musician in relation to my own personal relationship with music.

There is no real need to say such dreadful things about Lady Fantasia as the SOUL that she brings to her artform can not be easily mimicked and can not be easily copied. Others try, but fail to bring what she brings. Whether she writes her own music or not, don't you think that it is ingenious what she then does with lyrics that she has not written, but however can interpret it and give the lyrics life and feeling that probably the person who wrote it could not have envisioned. THAT GIRL HAS GOT SOUL for such a young lady and where does this SOUL come from, now that is the question. When she sings, I am sure that the GODS are happy! Salute this lady and the other artists you knocked ie, Kerri Chandlier as what he has done to House music and what he still brings to the music today is something to be respected. He keeps the SOUL in House music and he keeps it RAW!!! Check out his early stuff. My man is DEEP, SEEN!!! Unfortunately not all people can play an instrument, but their instrument can be their voice or was you not aware of this!!! I could go deeper but I have to go and cook dinner so I hope you respect my reply Strobe light!!!

PS Didn't Black Sheep who you knocked in your email, didn't they do a track in the 90's called Strobe light ***
Check it out if you don't know it. Oh yea, you are right, some of the people Sir PE mentioned on his list I mentioned too! Isn't it just GREAT!! Doesn't it just show how rich we are when it comes to the quality of music we both listen too and have been inspired by!!! Maybe focus on the artists you have not heard of on my list and check them out. Help to keep music with integrity alive by buying such artist's music and feed your SOUL with THE GOOD STUFF!!! It will be an education... BELIEVE!!!

Nuff love and respect
